take it the wrong way, ShinoMatrix, but i think that you must watch this anime
again since u didn't understand the purpose of it.
If you need more actions scenes, happy BGs and colourful scenarios, try
something more simple like Naruto. Witch Hunter Robin was made to be dark and
more focused on the psychological matters of the characters. Besides that, if
you pay more attention to the storyline, u can understand well enough how big
are the twists on the story. It's a pity that a great anime like WHR was so
ridicularized by this review.
If you had used the DVD version of this you would not have had the problem of
text anywhere (as most DVD collections also include textless opening and
endings)... and it would have been the right thing to do.
Well, nonetheless, if I ignore that fact, plus that it's in YouTube (I was
impressed that it didn't butcher the sync of your video because it does that to
a lot of other videos), I gotta say you have a knack for beat sync at least...
conceptually, an opening video really only has to wow the audience and not
really have much sort of message/relevance, and I think you did just
that.
Alright then... why would you download this video? Because it has lense flares?
Doubtful. Because it has subtitles? Possibly. Because it contains some of the
most overused anime in AMVs? Probably. Hmm... actually... why should you
download this then? Because it's freaking entertaining, that's why.
Short summary? Many of our beloved anime characters have their stories set in
their schools... this is my take on how it would be if they all went to the same
school. Based on the popular fanfic styled RPG in Anime Academy which I
pioneered back in 2004 (Click here
to see what I'm talking about), this is a show about nothing (alright, so I have
been watching too much Seinfeld lately)...
Anyway, enjoy... comments are welcomed, in fact I'd really like to hear from you
what you think of the video
Ok, so a bunch of us in amv.org have managed to get a video up and running just
in the nick of time for Christmas. So with my wish for a merry Christmas to you
all, I also bring to you the work we've put together in the spirit of the
season, hopefully to bring some Christmas cheer to you all... but do beware,
it's not all, err, innocent
Well, seeing as how there are a big number of Gundam fans around, here I'm
certain they've been heard of (me is a proof XP)...
Anyway, it's only been Pride which I've heard... they MV for it is quite...
interesting... didn't think I would like the guy singing but it was ok
actually... generally just not my taste of music but I do admit I like them
quite a bit.
That was so awesome when I first saw it, and even looking back on it now, it's
still impressive just in how fast paced it was and yet coherent enough...
Well, Koop's musical choices are usually very good...
Personally, SR-71 is a group I never knew existed but am now a fan of because of
the numerous AMVs that I have heard it on (Majin Kenshin's "Toushi"
and Sierra Lorna's "Im My Mind" are favourites of mine).
And that's part of the fun for me actually... the thrill of the
search...
Many many (and I mean many) AMVs out there are mediocre to pukingly bad (turn
off that DivX logo XP), that when I do find that golden video in the middle of
the rusted haystack of disappointment, it makes the experience that much more
worthwhile...
It's like the hub of AMVs on the web...
your account entitles you to free hosting of your videos and a chance for many
(and I mean many) other AMV creators to appreciate your videos and to learn
from.
Haha... I think it's safe to say that this isn't a welcome back thing... it's
more of a welcome to a forum troll finally coming out from under the bridge...
personally I think it's the seemingly much more varied type of people in this
community that has persuaded me to perhaps think of being more active (many of
the online communities I go to seem saturated with either Australians or
Americans, and of course I don't have any gripe with that, but I don't why I
feel this but there seems to be more kinds of people here than just that... or
am I wrong?)
Yeah, I guess... a lot of the times though, I find myself skipping to the
opening/ending music of the OST I'm listening to... it's after all suppose to be
all just background music and is often enough not nearly as enjoyable as a piece
of music written for the sake of the music itself.
Hmm... I find this place rather enjoyable as of late... I don't know
why...
With the multitude of anime forums I frequently visit where many of them having
had welcomed me and recognised me, I feel now that I am quite drawn to yet again
another forum, even though I don't know if I will fit here...
Still... I suppose that I might as well do away with my intro thread since we
only get to have one (duh
)...
Well, yeah... me... umm... yeah, ShinoMatrix is the name, but also known as Infinity Squared in some
other forums (usually when it's to do with making Anime Music Videos -
AMV)...
I've mainly dabbled in sig making in the past and made very little in terms of
actual wallies or other such art (hand drawn/painted stuff is something I've
almost given up on since my kindergarten teacher said I sucked
).
Favourite anime... well, it varies... number usually these days swap around Mai
Hime, Last Exile, Gundam SEED and Haibane Renmei, though I do like my weekly
dosage of Bleach, Naruto, Mai Otome and Shakugan no Shana (seriously shaping up
to be one of the best anime I've seen yet)... I'm not really much into manga for
I prefer full size novels for that (just finished reading Harry Potter and the
Half Blood Prince, finally giving in to the hype and realising they are a good
set of books).
If any of you want help in making AMVs, I'm more than happy to help... I love
making them and won quite a few awards in that regard *inflates own ego*
XP
Oh... and maybe it's of interest to someone but yeah... mesa living in Australia
and the life is sweet...
*sigh*
I think that's far more stuff I wrote than I wanted...
I'll end with one favourite saying of mine (note: not actually mine as in
something I came up with)... "teh aniem are teh tasty"
I think recap movies just underplay the whole anime... personally, the wait and
length of full length series is what ultimately gets me to the emotional high
and immersion with the series that in the end satisfies my love of the anime and
recap movies just don't have that length factor... I always say it nowadays;
there's too much non-fat or low-fat crap in the supermarket... can't somebody
make me my yoghurt with FULL FAT?!
Yeah... I don't really care much for these "movies"
Absolutely agree... Shana has currently went to the top of my top 10 anime babes
list, defeating Mai who has been holding on to number 1 spot for quite a long
time... (I should probably write down that top 10 list since I frequently forget
:P)...
The Op is nice, but the simplicity and black and white motiff of the ending is
something I personally like more actually.
Definitely shaping up to be one of my favourite anime at the moment... Mai Otome
is falling behind a bit, I think (in the same number of released episodes, it
doesn't seem to be having as much intrigue and action as Shakugan no Shana)...
and I think the comparisson with Bleach doesn't really extend past the
surface... I feel that I'm going to love this because it seems like it's going
to turn up like a love story
I guess that is one reason why many a times, an AMV fails to entertain people...
when they rely to much on the anime itself to bring accross their point. It
alienates many of those people that have not seen the anime in
question.
I have many favourites, most of which can be found on my www.animemusicvideos.org profile. I
personally run my own AMV studio, with some other of my fellow Australian AMV
creators, so if you wanna check out what we do go to www.amviencestudios.bravehost.com...
We've had our fair share of bad and awesomely recognised videos and we're
willing to help anybody interested in the art but don't know where to start.
Hahahaha... yeah right...
Sorry mate, not interested.
All the Chobits OSTs and the first Pokemon series soundtrack as well the movie.
*sigh*
If you had used the DVD version of this you would not have had the problem of text anywhere (as most DVD collections also include textless opening and endings)... and it would have been the right thing to do.

Make more... become better.
Yeay! Thanks for watching... glad to see that it hasn't fallen on deaf ear (or blind eyes XP) around here
Look look! it's my latest Anime Music Video (click on picture or link below to get to the video infor profile and download page)

Uploading wallies seem to cost credits as well, according to what I just read about the credits thing...
Stuck in my head? I hate it when that happens... oh wait, I hear one now... Tune the Rainbow from RahXephon: Concertio Pluralis
And that's part of the fun for me actually... the thrill of the search...

Thank you all for the warm welcomes, and I'll keep you guys informed of the latest in the AMVs
I do hope to be around more now, that it is summer holidays for me

Anyone know how many eps this will go for?

That is a pity... it sure would have been better to hear her song than "Wings of Words" by Chemistry :P
Hmm... I love her music... both from anime and not...
My all time favourite (equal first with Pure Snow by Yuko Sasaki) is Tune the Rainbow (even though I reckon RahXephon was the pits)...
But I reckon though, that her music is at its best when she's teamed with up with Yoko Kanno, which I am happy to say is an often occurence.
